Supported POS

  • Toast: full support. Menu, orders, sales, and labor.
  • Square: menu, sales, discounts, and customer data.
  • Chowbus: order and sales sync.
Connect the POS during setup (see Connect your POS). One connection per location.

What syncs, in practice

  • Menu: items, groups, modifiers, and discounts. When you 86 an item or change a price in the POS, the dashboard follows.
  • Orders and sales: every closed check, classified by dining option (dine-in, takeout, delivery). This is what powers Sales and Channels reporting.
  • Labor: shifts and hours worked, feeding labor cost and overtime reporting.
Sales data syncs continuously through the day. You don’t wait for a nightly batch to see how lunch went.

Delivery platforms

Third-party orders show up as their own channels:
  • DoorDash
  • Uber Eats
  • Grubhub
  • ChowNow
  • ezCater
Garde uses these to split sales by channel and to reconcile delivery deposits against what the platforms actually paid you. Commission discrepancies show up instead of hiding in a lump-sum payout.

If numbers don’t match the POS

  • Give a fresh connection a day. The first historical sync is big.
  • Compare the same date range and location. Most “mismatches” are filter mismatches.
  • Still off? Email support@munchinsights.com with the date and the two numbers you’re comparing.
