Terminology: Garde vs. QuickBooks
Garde and QuickBooks use different names for the same things:| Garde | QuickBooks |

Sync Options
Under your Integration Settings in Garde (Accounting > Setup > Integrations tab), you have the following sync options for each transaction type:- All Available — Syncs all transactions with a “Ready” or “Pending” status.
- Only Selected — Syncs only transactions you’ve manually marked as “Pending.”
- Pause Temporarily — No transactions of this type will be pushed to QuickBooks.
Classes
For each Class line item option, you can only choose one class per transaction type per location. Each Garde unit can have a different class assignment for:- Invoices → QB Bills
- Sales Entries → QB Journal Entries
- Inventory Entries → QB Journal Entries
QuickBooks Desktop: Company File Path
If you use QuickBooks Desktop, it’s best practice to add the file path of your Company File in Garde. This ensures syncs go to the correct file. If you have multiple Company Files, the Web Connector checks the open file’s path against what’s stored in Garde before syncing.Accounting Setup in Garde
When you connect QuickBooks, you’ll work through the five tabs under Accounting > Setup in Garde:- Integrations — Connect your QuickBooks account and manage sync settings.
- Invoice/Bill Accounts — Link payable and bank accounts for vendor invoices.
- Category Accounts Mapping — Match Garde categories to your chart of accounts for inventory and COGS entries.
- Sales Mapping — Map exported sales journal lines to your QuickBooks accounts.
- Delivery Mapping — Map delivery journal accounts to your chart of accounts.
