Garde supports four accounting period configurations:
  1. Calendar months (the default)
  2. 13 four-week periods
  3. 5-4-4 (five weeks, four weeks, four weeks, repeated)
  4. 4-4-5 (four weeks, four weeks, five weeks, repeated)
This is an internal system setting. If your restaurant is showing the wrong accounting period, reach out to contact@garde.app and we’ll change it for you. If you’re on anything other than calendar months, include your period start date.

Can I start my reporting week on a different day?

Even with custom accounting periods, Garde still shows weekly sales numbers on your homepage dashboard and in your nightly sales email. The start day for those weekly numbers depends on your period type: Calendar months: The reporting week always starts on Monday. This can’t be changed — since calendar periods start on the 1st regardless of weekday, a fixed Monday start keeps your week-over-week comparisons consistent. 4-week or 5-week periods (#2, #3, #4): Your reporting week starts on whatever day your accounting period starts. If your period began on a Tuesday, your weekly sales will always begin on Tuesdays. You designate the start date of your accounting year and period, and the rest follows from that.
