What is the Garde Card?

The Garde commercial charge Mastercard, issued by Patriot Bank, N.A., is the corporate card built for restaurants.

  • Transactions sync straight into Garde, eliminating the chance of duplicate entries or mismatched reports.

How does the Garde Card work?

The Garde Card lets you make the purchases that keep your restaurant running. Every transaction is immediately available to view in your Garde account.

Sign up

Complete the sign-up form (no credit check needed).

Issue cards to authorized users straight from the Garde app.

Set limits

Admins can set daily spend limits per card.

Receive cards

Your employees will receive their cards within 5-7 business days.
Once your employee confirms receipt of their card, it’s ready to use. Daily spend limits can be set when issuing the card and adjusted at any time after that.

How does billing and payment work for the Garde Card?

Each Garde Card statement period is 7 days. When a statement period closes, an ACH debit is automatically initiated for your outstanding balance. You’ll see the funds withdrawn from your account 1-2 days after the close of a cycle.

How do I qualify? Will there be a credit check?

The Garde Card is available to U.S.-based customers with Garde Admin privileges. You’ll need to provide the required business details and a valid bank account, but there is no credit check required.

What is required to get the Garde Card?

You can sign up by logging into your Garde account and navigating to Garde Card in the left-hand navigation bar. To complete sign-up, you’ll need to provide some business details and a valid U.S. bank account for processing repayments. These details include your name, address, date of birth, company EIN/SSN, and other information that allows us to identify you in accordance with federal law. Any Beneficial Owners will also need to submit their information. No credit check is required. Once the account is approved, additional individual cards must be associated with an existing Garde user and will need an email address and phone number for sign-up.

Are there any fees or costs associated with using a Garde Card?

The Garde Card is included for all U.S.-based Garde customers as part of your standard subscription. There are no fees for issuing a card.
A $30 insufficient funds fee will be assessed if Garde is unable to collect your statement balance in full on the due date.

Do I have to sign up for an account in each separate store I manage?

Nope. The account sign-up is at the company level, and you can complete it from any store in Garde. Once activation is complete, Garde Admins can issue cards to users across all their locations.

How can I manage individual cards for my employees?

When an employee receives their card, they’ll need to log in to Garde to verify and activate it. There’s no limit to the number of cards you can issue, and each one can be managed from your dashboard. You can easily:
  • See all transactions
  • Upload missing receipts
  • Set daily spending limits
  • Cancel, pause, or reissue a card

Do I have a personal spending limit?

Businesses signing up for the Garde Card will be assigned a credit limit, viewable from the Garde Card dashboard. Card administrators can set a daily spend limit when issuing a card.

Where can I use my Garde Card?

You can use your Garde Card everywhere Mastercard is accepted in the United States.

Is Garde a Bank?

Garde is not a bank. We work with Patriot Bank, N.A., to offer you the Garde Card.

Why do I have to provide my personal information (including SSN)?

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we’ll ask for information about the business and key personnel so we can identify them. We may also ask for identifying documents.
