You’re in the middle of taking inventory and realize you need to add something that’s not on your count sheet. Or maybe there’s a product listed that you stopped carrying months ago. Config Mode lets you handle both without leaving your count.

Config Mode vs. editing the count sheet directly. Use Config Mode when you’re actively taking inventory and need to make a quick adjustment — add a missing item, remove something obsolete. If you need to do larger reorganization work (renaming sections, reordering lots of products, restructuring the whole sheet), it’s better to edit the count sheet directly from Inventory > Count Sheets before you start counting. Config Mode is built for in-the-moment fixes, not full overhauls.
*If you’ve already taken the inventory and need to reopen it: go to Inventory > Inventories, select the inventory, and click the Reopen button in the top left corner. Reopening lets you edit the count sheet again.

Turning on Config Mode

Once you’re in your count sheet, look for the Config Mode button in the bottom right corner. It starts in the off position. Click to turn it on. While Config Mode is active, you can edit what items appear on the count sheet, but you won’t be able to enter inventory counts. It’s one or the other — this keeps things clean and prevents accidental entries while you’re shuffling products around.

Adding a Product

Click the +Add Product button in the top left of your count sheet. Select the product you want to add and choose which section it should appear in.

Removing a Product

While Config Mode is on, you’ll see an X button under the Controls column on the right side of each row. Click it to remove that product from the count sheet.

Finishing Up

When you’re done adding and removing products, turn off Config Mode (bottom right of your screen) and get back to entering counts.
