How can I see my sales in Garde? And what is this 21-day report? We’ll give you the skinny on the various ways you can (and can’t) see your sales, and explain this bonus report as well! We heartily recommend that you should connect your POS to Garde so you can see this data automatically.

How to access

Navigate to Intelligence > Sales > Overview.

Filters and comparisons

At the top of the page you can set:
  1. The home screen - This will show you the rounded total sales for each day of the current week. When viewing the year-over-year numbers, please note that you will see comparisons based on the same day of the week in the previous year, not the exact same calendar date.

Key performance indicators

Three KPI cards are displayed at the top of the dashboard:
KPIWhat it shows
Net SalesTotal net sales in dollars, plus the percentage change versus the previous year (for example, $515,245.82, +6.82%).
Avg Ticket SizeAverage revenue per order in dollars, with a trend indicator showing percentage change (for example, $55.99, -1.13%).
Order CountTotal number of orders, with the change in count versus the prior year (for example, 9,084 orders, +677).

Net Sales Over Time chart

No, the sales report on the home screen is viewable by all users in your company. You can control who receives the daily sales report email, but you cannot prevent one of your Garde users from seeing the sales totals on the home screen.
  • By Day — See daily sales fluctuations.
  • By Week — View weekly totals for a smoother trend line.
  • By Month — See month-level aggregations for a big-picture view.

You can toggle between: The short answer is that it depends on your accounting period settings. If you use calendar accounting periods, your reporting week will always begin on a Monday. If you use an accounting period based on 4 / 5 week periods, then your week will begin on the day your accounting period begins. Read more here: Can I change my accounting periods? By Hour Averages chart

A bar chart displays your averages by hour of the day, covering the range from 11 AM to 11 PM. You can toggle between multiple views:
  • Avg Sales — Average sales dollars per hour.
  • Avg Orders — Average order count per hour.
  • All — View data across all dayparts combined.
  • Lunch — Filter to lunch hours only.
  • Dinner — Filter to dinner hours only.

The 21 Day Moving Average Report

The 21 Day Moving Average daily total is not meant to reflect the true sales of that day. This report shows the average total of your sales for 21 days up to the latest data we have. You can change the filter to select the restaurants you want to compare, see the data across specific categories, and/or specific years. It’s also a handy way to see sales averages across companies, and even across different companies over different years.

Sales Forecast

For operators that want an easier and more accurate way to forecast sales, you can use the Garde Sales Forecast. It analyzes past sales data — accounting for holidays, seasonality, and trends to create an accurate sales forecast that is automatically updated based on actual sales.
