In the Garde sidebar, AI Chat appears as Assistant under the INTELLIGENCE section.

How to Use AI Chat

  1. Click the AI Chat icon from anywhere in Garde.
  2. Type your question in plain language.
  3. Get an instant response based on your restaurant’s data.

What You Can Ask

AI Chat can help with a wide range of questions about your operations:
  • Costs & Spending — “What did I spend on produce last month?” or “Which vendor has the best price for chicken breast?”
  • Invoice Questions — “Show me invoices from Sysco this week” or “What’s the status of my latest uploads?”
  • Product & Pricing — “What’s the price history for ground beef?” or “Which items had the biggest price increase?”
  • Inventory — “When was my last inventory?” or “What products are on my bar count sheet?”
  • Recipes — “What’s the food cost on my Caesar salad?” or “Which recipes use avocado?”
  • General Help — “How do I set up a new vendor?” or “Where do I find the Usage Report?”

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific — “What did I spend on dairy in March?” gives better results than “Show me costs.”
  • Ask follow-ups — AI Chat remembers context within a conversation, so you can ask clarifying questions.
  • Use it for quick lookups — AI Chat is great for getting a fast answer without navigating to a specific report.
