Sometimes when you log in, Garde will ask you to enter a code sent to your email. This isn’t something you turned on — it’s an automatic security check we run when something about your login looks different from usual. Why does this happen? We’re confirming you have both your password and access to your email. It’s a form of Multi-Factor Authentication that helps protect your account from unauthorized access. When will you see it? Typically only when you use a new computer, switch browsers, or log in from an unusual location. It shouldn’t happen every time. If you’re somewhere you trust, check the “Remember this device” box to skip it for the next 30 days.

Two Quick Steps

1) Look for an email from “no-reply@garde.app” and copy the six-digit code.

Don’t see the email? Check your spam or junk folder. The sender is “no-reply@garde.app” — if it landed there, mark it as “not spam” so future codes go straight to your inbox.

2) Paste the code into the login screen. If you’re on a trusted device, check Remember this device for 30 days. Click Continue.

Extra Tips

Remember This Device

If you’re on your own computer and not using public Wi-Fi, check the Remember this device for 30 days box. This keeps you from needing the code every single login.

Garde Password Requirements

  • At least 8 characters
  • Must include lowercase, uppercase, a number, and a special character (!@#$%^&*)
  • Can’t reuse any of your last 5 passwords
