What is Barmetrix?

Barmetrix is a bar inventory and management service used by restaurants and bars to get precise alcohol counts. If you already work with a Barmetrix rep to count your liquor, wine, and beer, you can push that data directly into Garde — no manual re-entry required. The integration lets you download a count sheet from Garde, have Barmetrix map their products to yours, and then upload completed counts back into Garde. From there, everything flows into your reports like any other inventory. Any user with inventory access in Garde can use this feature.

How to connect Barmetrix to Garde

1. Request the integration

Email contact@garde.app to have the Barmetrix integration turned on. It needs to be enabled per unit, so include the full list of locations in your request. You’ll know it’s ready when the “Barmetrix” toggle is checked under Setup > Integrations > Inventory.

2. Create a count sheet for Barmetrix

Set up a dedicated count sheet for your Barmetrix inventories. Naming it “Barmetrix” keeps things obvious. For help creating count sheets, see How do I Set Up my Inventory Count Sheets?.

3. Download the count sheet from Garde

Go to Inventory > Inventories and click “Barmetrix Download” to export the count sheet as a CSV. Send this file to your Barmetrix manager so they can map Garde products in the Barmetrix system.

4. Count your alcohol through Barmetrix

Once the Barmetrix team has completed the product mapping, count your alcohol as usual through Barmetrix. When the count is done, export the completed inventory as a CSV file and save it somewhere you can find it.

5. Upload the completed count to Garde

Go to Inventory > Inventories and click “Barmetrix Upload.” Select the CSV file from the popup window. The file needs to be in the same format as the CSV you downloaded in step 3 — same column structure — but now with values in the “Quantity” column. After you upload, Garde takes you to an inventory edit page with the quantities pre-populated from your Barmetrix data. Set the inventory date, review and edit any counts as needed, then save.

6. You’re done

The uploaded inventory now works like any other inventory in Garde. It’ll populate through all your reports automatically.
